Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Arun Kumar Singh, received the Skotch Award for Public Service, by the SKoch Foundation in a glittering function in New Delhi on Saturday.
In a citation, Sameer Kochar of SKoch Foundation stated, “We have observed and admired your work for long across the domains of Industrial Development, Commercial Taxes, Tourism, Public Works Department, Agriculture, Water Resources, Urban Development, Food and Public Distribution, Health and Family Welfare. “You have conceptualised and assisted the State Government in settings up so many institutions- JARDCL, SHAJ, JIIDCO, SPIADA, JIADA JINFRA JHARCRAFT, JUIDCO, SMART CITY, JUPMI, KUSUM, JATI are some of them,” he stated.
Kochar said that particularly noteworthy has been your exemplary , professional and worth emulating handling of the critical Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Department during dangerous 2nd wave of COVID and Food and Civil Supplies including PDS and Supply Chain Management during first wave of Covid.
“People still recall your valuable contribution in development and maintenance of Law and Order as Collector in Jehanabad , Nalanda , Hazaribag and Deoghar Districts,” he said.
“Your excellent and unconventional contributions to Governance over a long period of time, handling of challenging assignments in a professional manner throughout your career and Dedication to Public Service stand out across your entire career span,” he added.
Kochar said, “As you may be aware that SKOCH Awards are considered India’s Highest Independent Honour and amongst its recipients have been regulators, secretaries, union ministers and chief ministers over our twenty year or so long history.”
