52 dengue cases in 24 hrs in city

Even though Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has launched several cleanliness drives for preventing dengue, as many as 52 people tested positive for vector-borne disease in city in last 24 hours, This has surged the total number of patients in city to 1,662, according to sources. Out of total cases, 1,153 patients have recovered while rest 519 are undergoing treatment at different hospitals. Ironically, the affected people are in a dilemma whether they are sick due to dengue or Covid-19 as some of symptoms of both diseases are almost same.
