The Chhattisgarh Health Department has distributed medicine kits to 13.78 lakh suspected Covid patients to contain the infection, the government said on Tuesday.

Since providing the kits, there has been a considerable drop in the infection rate in many districts, a Health Department statement said.

The kit contains Ivermectin, Doxycycline, Paracetamol, Vitamin-C and Zinc tablets, all of which are prescribed for Covid patients.

“The kits are effective in containing the Covid-19 infection if provided to the symptomatic patients at an initial stage,” the statement said. “It prevents the disease from taking alarming proportion”, it said. The kits are provided by the Mitanins and members of surveillance teams.
