Maharashtra's COVID-19 tally on Wednesday reached 19,78,044 with the addition of 3,556 fresh cases, the state health department said.
With 70 more deaths, the overall death toll in the state mounted to 50,221, an official said.
A total of 3,009 patients were discharged during the day after treatment, taking the count of recoveries in Maharashtra to 18,74,279.
The state is now left with 52,365 active cases.
With 61,460 new tests, the number of samples tested so far in Maharashtra went up to 1,35,62,194, the official said.
Mumbai city reported 675 fresh coronavirus positive cases, taking its overall case count to 3,00,474 while the death toll rose by 12 to 11,212.
The Mumbai division, which consists of Mumbai city and satellite towns, reported 1,247 new cases, raising the total count to 6,78,467. A total of 19,297 people have died of COVID-19 so far in the Mumbai division, the official said.
Nashik division's cumulative case tally stood at 2,70,183 and death toll at 5,005.
The number of cases in the Pune division stood at 4,90,164 and deaths at 11,418, the official said.
Kolhapur division's caseload is 1,16,880 cases and the fatality count is 3,989. Aurangabad division's overall case tally stood at 73,714 and death count at 1,961.
Latur division has reported 80,222 cases until now and 2,436 fatalities.
Akola division has 67,635 cases while 1,540 people have succumbed to the disease until now.
Nagpur division has 2,00,629 infections and 4,503 fatalities, the official informed.
