BHEL commissions 800 MW Supercritical Plant

New Delhi: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has successfully commissioned the second unit (800 MW) of the 2x800 MW Gadarwara Super Thermal Power Project Stage-I. Located at Gadarwara in Narsinghpur district of Madhya Pradesh, the greenfield project is being developed by NTPC Ltd. The first unit of this project was commissioned by BHEL in 2019 and is presently under commercial operation.

COMMISSIONER INAUGURATES COMPOST YARD

Chairperson Central Zone Smt. Poonam Bhati and Commissioner Sh. Gyanesh Bharti on Thursday inaugurated a Compost Yard at Central Zone’s Kalkaji. She informed that a big size Compost Yard has been set up where compost will be produced through kitchen-generated waste. A total of 36 Compost Boxes have been set up in which organic compost will be produced by using waste materials, soil, wood dust and unused compost. Each Compost Box  have capacity to dispose of 2.5 MT wet garbage/waste. In addition to this, people will be provided compost and plants at this yard in lieu of plastic materials.

NTPC – Q3 FY21 Unaudited Results

The Country’s largest power generator- NTPC Ltd., with a group installed capacity of 63925 MW, declared the unaudited financial results for the third quarter and nine-month ended 31 December, 2020 on 4 February, 2021. The gross generation of NTPC in Q3 FY21 was 65.42 Billion units as against 61.21 Billion units during the corresponding period of previous year registering an increase of 6.87%. For 9M FY21 gross generation was 193.28 Billion units as against 191.35 Billion units during the corresponding period of previous year.

CLW turn out 300 th Electric locomotive

Chittaranjan: Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) produced 300th electric locomotives (WAG-9 HC, 33089) in 215 working days up to 4th February 2021 of the current financial year 2020-21. Last 50 locos manufactured in just 27 working days. In the first quarter of F.Y. 2020-21 productions was slow due to COVID related restrictions. The supply chain of material was inconsistent due to national and state wise lockdown and restrictions.

Talks with representatives of Kisan Sangharsh Samiti

Jaipur: A meeting was held with the members of the committee constituted by Javipra on Thursday in the Manthan Auditorium to discuss the farmers struggle committee in relation to their various demands proposals in relation to the sleeped housing scheme proposed by the Jaipur Development Authority headed by Jaipur Development Commissioner Gaurav Goel. .

Encroachment of 4 bigha land in Ecological Zone free

Jaipur: Action was taken by the Jaipur Development Authority’s enforcement squad on Thursday to demolish illegal colony settling on nearly four bighas of land owned by JDA in Jamwararamgarh Road Village Chainpura (Non-Possible River). Attempts to establish an illegal colony on Pach Bigha land in the dhani of the flats in village Bindayaka were thwarted.

RSDC welcomes amendment to Apprenticeship Act

New Delhi: Several provisions in the Budget aimed at enhancing skills of the youth underline Government’s commitment to the skilling ecosystem and will go a long way in helping the youth to stay relevant in the job sphere amid challenging times, stated Rubber Skill Development Council (RSDC). “The Govt’s proposal to amend the Apprenticeship Act and a budget allocation of Rs 3000 crore towards National Apprenticeship Training Scheme is a remarkable step to promote skilling and will provide ample opportunities for the country’s youth,” said Vinod Simon, Chairman RSDC.
