Actor Saba Saudagar talks about getting true recognition and appreciation for her work in the web series Crackdown

Director Apoorva Lakhia’s Crackdown is being well received by the audience for its storytelling and cinematography.

Actor Saba Saudagar, who is known for her stint in ALTBalaji’s Booo Sabki Phategi and Gandii Baat, has now impressed her fans as  Fawzia. Playing a completely different character in the show, Saba has showcased her acting skills in this thrilling yet interesting series.

Fawzia is a naive sweet domestic help at Zorawar Kalra’s, the RAW Chief residence. She has a sweet family that includes her husband and a newly born baby.  Although it seems like cooking tasty food and looking after her own family and her employer  Zorawar’s home  is what Fawzia’s whole life revolves around, the truth is not just different but deceiving as well.

Commenting on the overwhelming response Saba shares, “An actor’s true recognition is when she is appreciated for her work. It is encouraging to get accepted as a good actor, especially when the entire ensemble is of actors par excellence. The love that I have received from the audience is the biggest honour I could have asked. Also, it was a great learning experience to work in this show alongside actors like Saqib, Iqbal and Shriya. My director has also appreciated me for portraying the character beautifully.”

The web series is a spy thriller, based on the working of intelligence agency RAW. It is a fast-moving with lots of twists and turns. The series has been shot at various different locations across the world.

(The series is streaming now on Voot Select.)
