SHO who tested +ve for Covid-19 dies in Indore

A Station House Officer of Indore who was earlier tested positive for covid-19 died in Indore in the wee hours on Sunday.

Devendra Chandravanshi, 45, was posted at Juni Indore police station in Indore and was hospitalised 19 days ago after contracting the Corona infection.

Chandravanshi breathed his last at around 2:00 am on Sunday. Condoling the demise of The young police officer,

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that his family would be offered ex gratia of Rs 50 lakh and his wife Sushma will be offered government job as sub inspector of police.To add, Chandravanshi was recovering from his infection and test reports on April 30 and 15 were negative. Seeing his recovery, we were planning to discharge him from the hospital shortly, said Dr Vinod Bhandari from Aurobindo Hospital where Chandravanshi was recuperating from the illness.

He was stable but late in the night he started to breathe fast and succumbed to his illness which was caused by pulmonary embolism, set the senior physician.

Chandravanshi had joined Madhya Pradesh Police as sub inspector in the year 2007 and was a native of Shajapur district.

With her demise, the number of mortality in Indore due to coronavirus had reached 48.

An assistant Sub Inspector of police posted along with Chandravanshi has also been tested positive.
