The Integrated Social Welfare and Human Resource Development (ISWHRD) with support of New Delhi-based NGO “Goonj” has been distributing ration items to the homeless and distressed people in villages under the Nirakarpur area in Khordha district for long.
On Saturday, the ISWHRD undertook a programme, named “Samman Pain Karya” (Work for dignity) in Kantalbai and Routapada villages under the Tangi block where 60 villagers were engaged in leaning works and provided ration packets containing rice, dal, flour, chuda, salt, spices, soap and mustard oil.
ISWHRD secretary Mrutyunjay Pradhan and Goonj programme officer Ashok Kumar Behera were present. Villagers thanked Goonj director Anshu Gupta and Odisha chief Suesh Kumar for providing support to them during the natural disasters.
