This year, the students are not marked as ‘failed’. The CBSE board has marked the failed students as ‘Essential Repeat’. Students who get ‘Essential Repeat’ in their CBSE XII result are failed. CBSE has replaced the term ‘Fail’ by the term ‘Essential Repeat’.
Even in the documents issued to the candidates and the result hosted on the website, it will be written as Essential Repeat.
