In the recently published Junior Mathematics Olympiad, Arnab Kumar Bisoyi of the DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur topped among the 132 successful qualifiers.
Including Arnab, 37 students of the school, the highest number for any individual school of the State, placed in the merit list. A large contingent of students from Classes-VI to VIII of all categories of school took the examination in January this year. The examination was conducted jointly by the Odisha Mathematical Society and the Department of Mathematics, Utkal University under the aegis of the State-run Institute of Mathematics and Applications.
The meritorious students would take part in an exclusive expertise camp for their preparedness towards higher Olympiads. The students of the DAV Chandrasekharpur have been continuously producing phenomenal results in this Olympiad meant to popularise Mathematics among the school kids and empower them for further studies.
School Chairman MM Panda, Principal Dr KC Satapathy congratulated the wizards, Department of Mathematics and IC teacher JK Hota for the remarkable feat.
