Following the call of Prime MinisterNarendraModi urging people to go ‘vocal for local’, Ranchi man Raghu RaajShekhar (30) has developed a file sharing App called Super Share. TheApp also comes at a time when popular Chinese Apps like Shareit and Xender have been banned across the country.Launched on July 19, the App is available on Google PlayStore and so far it has got close to 500 users.
“The core feature of the application is file sharing which can be done over Wi- Fi or Bluetooth from one phone to the other and is currently available on android. It allows users to share mobile apps, images, videos, documents and music in real quick time and is absolutely free. The application also features some entertainment content like games and audio stories which are also free and will be updated from time to time,” said Shekhar, the Founder and CEO of Monkhub Innovations.
The company’s Statrtup Studio Project has also developed and launched two other apps calledNello- a podcast app and Super Neuron which is a brain training app in the last week of May and second week of June respectively.
“We are completely committed to PM Modi’s ‘Vocal for local’ campaign and are in the process of developing more world class apps. Super Share comes to the rescue of users who wish to continue transferring files and documents and unlike its competitors, it will not run any ads in the background,” added the young entrepreneur.
Born and brought up in Ranchi, Shekhar did his schooling from DAV KapilDev and later from DPS Ranchi. An alumni of IIT Roorkee, he did his graduation in architecture but soon realised his calling was in technology and software.
“I was always involved in technology and have also presented some research papers at international conferences at BHU in 2014. I have always been a very mathematical person while architecture was more of design oriented.For me technology has always been and will forever be my passion,” remarked Shekhar.
Currently based in Delhi since 2013, Shekhar has very fond memories of his hometown and likes to visit as often as possible.
“I remember bunking school and going to Kathal More with friends. Panchghat and Hundru Falls have been a favourite picnic spot since school days with family and friends. Initially, we lived in Dornanda and visiting the markets in the vicinity was an everyday affair,” said a nostalgic Shekhar.
His father Ravi Shanker is a retired government official while his mother RubiShanker, a home maker are residents of Sail City, Ranchi.
