The actor was in Bhopal on Tuesday to talk about his upcoming web series Purushpur. Known for his brilliant work in movies like Tezaab, Vicky Donor, Jolly LLB 2 and many more, the actor will now be spreading his charm in the upcoming web series 'Purushpur'.

Talking about the series, Annu Kapoor said, "Women have been exploited for centuries and even are exploited today, just the methods of bus exploitation have changed. Our upcoming web series 'Pauruspur' is also based on the exploitation of women."

He said that Purushpur will unveil the topics like love, lust, blood-soaked swords, royal vengeance, patriarchy and power fight and gender struggle. "Wonderful dialogues, brilliant sets and the questions being raised on society are the USP of this web series," he said.

Talking about the movies, he said, "The cinema will return to its charm soon. As soon as we will overcome this pandemic the movies will be back in theatres." He further said, "It's not that the web series has overtaken the film world, but it is the new wave of entertainment."

About censorship, Annu Kapoor said, "Censorship on the OTT platform is a matter under consideration. Self-control is more important than censorship. There has been too much obscenity."

On asking about Purushpur, he said, "Bhopal has never been governed by such cruel leaders and this web series has no connection with Bhopal."  Annu Kapoor was born in Bhopal. He has been working in the industry for more than 30 years .
