Bodies of two minor girls who drowned at water filled quarry at Piplia Keshwa village were fished out by National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) Bhopal team late in the night on Tuesday. After receiving information on Tuesday regarding two girls, Maansu Meena, and Suman Meena, who drowned at the quarry when they had gone to take bath.
The villagers informed police, SDM Kolar -Rajesh Gupta who informed the Bhopal team of NDRF.
Immediately after being informed, the team Commander-Inspector Devendra Kumar Yadav along with his team left for Piplia Keshava at 10 pm. On reaching the spot, all the team members started the rescue operation together and the rescue operation went on for almost 4 hours at night and by in the night divers found the bodies of the girls. Dead bodies of both the girls were taken out during the night and handover was carried out by the NDRF team to the administration.
SDM (Kolar) Rajesh Gupta, Tehsildar Mahendra Singh, SHO Kolar Sudhir Aarjaria and other personnel were present during the incident. Under the supervision of Alok Kumar Singh, Deputy Inspector General, two teams of the 11th Corps NDRF were deployed by the Bhopal administration, in which the officers of both teams was Second in-Commandant Devendra Kumar.
Notably one team of NDRF is stationed at NTTTR in Shyamala Hills, Bhopal and another team is stationed at Idgah Hills which are assigned to performs any type of disaster management work in the entire Madhya Pradesh and disaster management works with the entire administration.
