Extreme cold conditions with cold chilly winds continued to maintain harsh weather conditions in the state Capital on Tuesday. The visibility decreased in the foggy weather conditions. The night temperature was recorded lowest 10 degree Celsius in Gwalior, Ratlam and Narsinghpur.
In the past 24 hours State has received rainfall at isolated places and the region which recorded significant rainfall were Pavai(Panna) which recorded 5 cm of rainfall and Lavkush Nagar (Chattarpur) recorded 4 cm of rainfall.
Several regions in Rewa division, few regions in Sagar, Hoshangabad and Gwalior divisions recorded rainfall. Western Disturbance as a cyclonic circulation over North Pakistan and adjoining areas is now located in northern Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir.
During the next 24 hours, there is a possibility of showers with light rain or thunderstorm in the districts of Vidisha district of Western Madhya Pradesh and Shahdol and Rewa divisions of East Madhya Pradesh and Katni, Chhindwara, Seoni, Mandla, Damoh, Sagar, Chhatarpur.
After 24 hours, the weather of Madhya Pradesh is likely to remain dry for the next 5-6 days.
Warning of moderate to dense fog has been issued for Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Jabalpur, Sagar and Narsingpur districts while shallow to medium fog would be witnessed in Chambal and Gwalior divisions and Ujjain, Shajapur, Agar, Bhopal, Sehore, Vidisha, Raisen, Ratlam and Indore districts. According to the forecas,t Shahdol and Rewa divisions, Katni, Chhindwara, Seoni, Mandal, Damoh, Sagar, Chattarpur and Vidisha are likely to witness light rainfall and thunder showers in the next 24 hours.
