Under Gamak series Awadhi music and folk dance were performed here on Thursday at Madhya Pradesh State Tribal Museum,
Artist Vandana Mishra from Ayodhya performed 'Awadhi' songs and Vikas Shukla from Harda performed 'Danda' folk dance.
The presentation started with singing by Vandana Mishra and troupe, wherein she performed 'Awadhi' songs. She began her performance with Devi song in the Jagadamwa Ghar Diana, followed by Deepchandi Tal- Soha Ghar-Ghar Baje Badhaiyan, Neg Geet- Kanganwa O Rani Leve Tor.
She then performed Vara Mala Song Ja Tanik Raghuveer, Mose Daga Kare Ab Hamar Naina, Banna Geet - Mere bunne koi koi dekho, Yellow Pagadia wala, Marriage song- Hathian Sendura, Farewell song - Kahe ko wadi Bidesh, Kajri Awadhi - Hare Rama Sawan Maa, Kajri Mirzapuri- Piya Mehndi Liyada, Sejia Pe Dole Kala Nag, Folklore - Aguri Maa Dussle Piya, Birha - Nikalge Nikulia Gorakhpur Ki, Holi Geet - Aur Mahinwan Maa and Hori Khelo Rakhuvira were presented.
On the stage she was accompanied on the tabla by Pankaj, on the organ by Rahul, on the navel by Ravish Tiwari and on the octopod by Vipin Verma.
It is to be noted that Mishra is an A grade artist of Akashkavani and you have successfully performed singing on various prestigious forums in India and abroad. The second performance was the 'Danda and non' folk dance by Vikas Shukla and colleagues.
The Danda dance is a folk dance. After Raksha Bandhan in the month of Savan, it is done in Bhuana area of Nimar zone on the occasion of Bhujaria festival.
The dancer has a pedestal of one and a quarter feet in both hands. The rhythm of the dando on the beat of dholak, cymbals, mangere also gives sweetness to the entire dance song.
Taking the shelter of Bhukani folk songs of Shri Krishna and Shri Ram, this dance is often the most popular dance of the farming community. Apart from Bhujariya, this dance is also seen on other occasions.
In the Bhuana region of Nimar region, there is an expansion of the tradition of Inagat community dance from Rajasthan. Like non dance of Rajasthan, there is also a non dance of Bhuana region which has more speed than Rajasthani non dance.
This dance is performed especially on the occasion of Holi, in which Krishna devotional songs are sung. The dancers dance with two and a half to three feet of poles in hand. The lyrics dance and dance to the beat of the drum with different postures and stanzas facing each other.
On the stage in the presentation Tarun Banke, Ajit Khore, Shekhar Locks, Gaurav Gurjar, Arpit Locks, Narayan Khore, Narghame and Lucky Agarwal in dance. Besides, the dancers were accompanied by Vikas Shukla's, Chorus Rajkumar and Ramnivas, on Manjira Jagdish Khote, on Dholak Sonu Kajve, on Dhol Ritesh Khore, and on Ghangaru Harishyam Patil.
