Police Pipe Band from Canada performs in Chandigarh

A 24-member Pipe Band of Vancouver Police celebrated Indo-Canadian relationship by playing signature Canadian melodies, tune of the patriotic song Sare jahaan se achchaa here at Elante mall on Tuesday.

Consul General of Canada, Mia Yen, and Vancouver Police Board member Barjinder S Dhahan, a Gursikh, were present on the occasion.

Led by Chief Constable Adam Palmer of the Vancouver Police, the band was accompanied by Deputy Chief Constable Steve Rai and Dhahan.

The Vancouver Police Pipe Band, which has been entertaining people from all over the world for more than a century, is among the worlds oldest police pipe bands.
