Rashtriya Lok Dal vice-president Wasim Haider took a pot shot at the Uttar Pradesh government’s second groundbreaking ceremony for launch of industrial projects, saying that multinational companies would enslave the youths of the country.
“The Bharatiya Janata Party government is organising the second groundbreaking ceremony in Lucknow on Sunday but their claim of bringing job opportunities for youths seems hollow. After the first Investors’ Summit, the Union government started privatisation of Railways and also involved private players in airports. Gradually all government departments will go to a select group of industrialists. The government will pat its back by presenting figures of jobs provided to youths, who in fact will get jobs in private sectors,” Haider said.
The RLD leader said that the Central government would hand over Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited and India Posts to industrialists in the name of development.
“By selling out government departments to private players, the BJP is weakening the economy of the country. Youths had voted for the BJP in the hope of getting jobs, but they have got nothing as yet,” the RLD leader said.
