SBI’s 871st branch in State opens at Pahala
Bhubaneswar: The State Bank of India (SBI) opened its 871st branch of Bhubaneswar Circle at Pahala on Sunday. Circle Chief General Manager Praveena Kala inaugurated the branch and E-corner in the presence of GM (Network-1) Devi Shankar Mishra, DGM (B&O) Rajay Kumar Sinha and Regional Manager Satyanarayana Panigrahi. This is the 49th branch of the Khurda-Nayagarh Region and would be immensely helpful in meeting the banking needs of villagers in and around Pahala. A sanction letter was handed over to the branch’s first customer Prasanta Sadangi on the day.
IIT Madras wins DDM IT Quiz BBSR edition
Bhubaneswar: The DDM IT Wiz Bhubaneswar edition organised by the MindFire Solutions witnessed more than 400 student participation from various colleges along with Delhi and Chennai here on Sunday. Quiz master Lloyd Saldanha hosted the programme. In the finals, G Pranav Hari and Rahul Humayun from the IIT Madras, Chennai won the title with a cash prize of Rs 1,00,000.
Hamleys opens second toy store in city
Bhubaneswar: The Hamleys opened its second toy store at the Esplanade One Mall here on Saturday. With over 3,000 products on display, the store offers an amazing selection of toys from much loved home-grown brands and a range of in-house branded toys that include its signature teddy bears, toy soldiers, wooden toys and bath toys. Five popular characters, Chhota Bheem and Chutki, LEGO Emmet, Hamley and Hattie Bear, were greeted. Many kids and parents witnessed the event.
