The AMRI Hospitals Bhubaneswar organised an intensive fitness event ‘Cyclothon’ in association with #MoCycle here on Sunday to mark celebration of the World Heart Day.
The event created awareness about ill effects of sedentary lifestyle on one’s heart and the resultant rise of coronary ailments. The Cyclothon witnessed participation over 800 cycling enthusiasts who cycled through a 7-km stretch within the city.
The Cyclothon was flagged off by Bhubaneswar DCP Anup Kumar Sahoo in the presence of Odia cine star and Mo College Chairman Akash DasNayak, former MP Siddhant Mohapatra and former Indian Women’s National Football Team Captain Sradhanjali Samantaray.
Among others, AMRI Hospitals Bhubaneswar VP and unit head Dr Anuj Tiwari, Associate VP Nilanjana Mukherjee, Cardiology consultant Dr Mahesh Prasad Agrawala, Cardiology and Electrophysiology Dr SN Panda, CTVS Dr Chandrabhanu Parija and Dr JN Patnaik were present.
The Cyclothon was flagged off from the Utkal University and it culminated at the Adivasi Ground, Unit-1.
