Govt will accept more new road proposals from insurgency areas: Min

The State Government will accept more proposals from officers for constructing roads in the interior pockets of insurgency infested regions and remote locations, PWD Minister Tamradwaj Sahu said on Tuesday.

He also directed to submit proposals for converting single lane roads into double as per the current needs.

Reviewing the work of his Department, the Minister said that quality should not be compromised in construction works and advised stern action against contractors who do not follow the directives.

The tendering process for works should be not be delayed unnecessarily and all parameters need to be followed, Sahu said.

The maintenance work for all government houses need to be completed within two months , he said.

A strong infrastructure is needed for overall development of the State, the Minister said.

He also directed to start a light and sound show at the Saheed Samarak as soon as possible.
