Films of Jharkhand based producer and director Lal Vijay Sahdeo will be screened in Cannes Film Festival 2019 at France.
‘Lohardaga’ and ‘Phulmania’, the two films made by Shahdeo will be screened on Wednesday and Thursday respectively.
Both the films are based on the issues of Jharkhand and shot in Jharkhand. The story of ‘Lohardaga’ revolves around the life of a young boy who gradually took the path of Maoism due to various social and economical issues. The film cast includes some of the noted actors including Sanjay Mishra, Vijay Raaz and many others.
‘Phoolmania’ is a story of a young girl who is declared a witch by the villagers after demise of her husband and the hardships she had to face.
Shahdeo, who has already left for France said that both the films were made in limited resources and budget.
