The outgoing chairperson of FICCI Ladies Organisation, Uttarakhand Chapter, Shilpi Arora, released the FICCI FLO annual report 2018-2019. On the occasion, Arora said that the journey with FLO so far has been very inspiring for her and that it had given her many opportunities to connect with women from every corner of the state.
Speaking about her experience, she said, “I convinced my seniors and we were finally able to open FICCI FLO chapter in Uttarakhand. I brought this initiative here with an objective of bringing a change in the lives of women especially the natives of this state. I have always wanted to provide a platform to women entrepreneurs to network, enhance their skills and motivate them to do better.”
Informing further she said, “FLO Uttarakhand has so far organised over 27 events which include several social welfare programmes too. For me, every event we have organised was unique and different from others. I am very proud to say that 150 women were benefited from the beautician course and 1,000 students have benefited from our programmes.”
Arora is to complete her tenure as the state chapter chairperson on April 24. Informing about it she said, “The final event under my tenure ‘FLO Annual Awards and Interaction with Achievers’ is scheduled to be held on April 24 where we will also be felicitating 14 women achievers.”
