BSF man hurt in landmine blast in M’giri

A jawan of the Border Security Force (BSF) suffered grievous injuries in a landmine explosion near Gobindapalli Ghati on the Malkangiri-Jeypore road on Monday.

The injured, identified as Jagat Pal Singh, was rushed to the Malkangiri District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).

The incident took place at around 2 pm when BSF personnel were carrying out a combing operation in the area.

Earlier on Saturday, two jawans of the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Odisha Police had been injured as a landmine planted by Maoists exploded in the Bogapadar hills under the Mathili police station in the district.
