The Government Railway Police (GRP) foiled a robbery bid on a train and nabbed four robbers from the Khurda Road Railway Station on Friday night.
The arrestees were identified as Ali and SK Abis of Mundia Sahi of Jatni, Krushna Swain of Kudiari area and Bisnu Prasad Swain of Harirajpur area.
Acting on inputs that some miscreants were hatching a plan to commit robbery on a train, the GRP along with the Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel conducted a raid and nabbed the four accused from Platform-7 at the railway station.
The cops seized sharp weapons, a toy pistol, chili powder and 15 mobile phones from the possession of the accused. Police have registered a case under relevant sections of IPC and forwarded them to court.
The accused had planned to loot on-board train passengers after attacking them, said a GRP official.
