The East Coast Railway (ECoR) and the State Bank of India (SBI) entered into an MoU on Thursday for collection of examination fees from applicants of RPF examination, which would commence from June 1. The fees would be collected digitally through the SBI Multi Option Payment System (MOPS) platform.
The MoU was signed in the presence of SBI Chief General Manager Praveena Kala and ECoR General Manager Umesh Singh, among others from both organisations.
This is considered a landmark initiative by the ECoR to facilitate fees collection from applicants through the SBI digital banking platform. The ECoR is going to conduct recruitment of Constables and Sub-Inspectors for all the 16 Railway Zones of the country and the registration process would start from June 1 and continue till June 30.
The State Bank MOPS is a digital collection facility for online collection of fees from applicants using their Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking (Retail & Corporate) of 49 banks or even at any of SBI branches by cash mode across the country. It will ensure a hassle-free experience for the applicants towards payment of examination fees on a 24x7 basis.
