NMDC Ltd, in its diamond jubilee year has won one more prestigious national award at the ‘India Green Energy Award - 2018’ ceremony held recently in New Delhi, a company press release informed on Monday.
The said prestigious award was presented by Suresh Prabhu, Union Minister of Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation and the award was received by E.R.Sreekumar, ED(Engg.) on behalf of NMDC.
The programme was organized by Indian Federation of Green Energy (IFGE) and NMDC bagged this prestigious award in the category “Outstanding Renewable Energy Generation Projects by Public Sector-Wind” for the installation and operation of the 10.5MW capacity Wind Mills at Chitradurga District in Karnataka State.
NMDC is also known for its Eco-friendly mining operations for which all its Mining Complexes are awarded 5 Star rating by the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, it informed.
In the recent past NMDC received the prestigious S&P Platts Global Metal Award 2018 under CSR category, organized by Platts at London, UK.
