With a few days left for the festival of lights, a huge crowd was seen at JAP Ground here on Thursday.
Leisure buffs thronged to IPSOWA Diwali Utsav to get a glimpse of this tantalizing event and to shop a few collected items of their choice brought here on tribal’s land from across the country by different artisans.
Started amid much fanfare, the second day of the fair had variety of events for the visitors.
Organised keeping the needs and requirements of all walks of life, charm of kids who participated in different colourful programmes – painting, band display etc to cultural activities organised in the evening captivated the interest of leisure buffs.
One of the oldest forms of art – Puppet show enchanted the visitors, especially the children. Besides shopping, Nepali and Jharkhandi cuisines became the centre of attraction on the second day.
Getting bigger and better with every passing year, the collected handmade products and woolen items brought from a few major regions like Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh has become the hot pick, this season.
Besides, a vivid decorative knick-knack is in the top choice list of the customers, as maximum visitors were seen purchasing decorative earthen lights, mini LED lights, terracotta items from the fair.
Annually, the shopalcholics get some unique collections of hand made products including high-end luxurious goods of their choice under one roof here. IPSOWA’S cultural nights having different flavours gave exclusivity to this entire event.
This year, visitors will get to watch the heartwarming performance of celebrity playback singer – Raja Hasan on November 3.
Rajasthani Folk Dance form (Kalbeliya) will enthrall the fair hoppers in the coming days.
Further, the blend of music and dance will be combined with other artistic genres – fashion show, baby show, band display etc. Known for the wholesome entertainment, the four-day event will be wrapped up on November 4.
