Launches cardiac risk assessment package

On the occasion of World Heart Day, the AMRI Hospitals organised a Walkathon in order to create awareness about heart diseases and heart healthy environment here on Saturday in which more than 1,000 citizens participated.

Local MLA Dr Ramesh Chandra Chyau Patnaik, Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange and all hospital senior doctors took part in the rally which began from Kamapalli Chawk via Subarao Square and culminated at Diamond Jubille Town Hall here. Hospital Cardiac Thorasic Surgeon Dr Jitendra Nath Patnaik said many people lacked awareness about radiating pain and maximum people lacked awareness about nausea associated Epigastric (upper abdominal) pain, the important symptoms of a heart attack.

“Make a healthy diet choice for a healthy life”, said hospital Interventional Cardiology Dr Lingaraj Nath. AMRI Hospitals, Bhubaneswar AVP Dilip Kumar Patro also spoke on the occasion.

The hospital also launched an innovative cardiac risk assessment package at Rs 1999 through which people can evaluate their cardiac risks for next five years.
