Senior Advocate of Chhattisgarh High Court , Kanak Tiwari has been appointed the new Advocate General of the State.
The State Government issued an order in this regard on Thursday.
Tiwari began his carrier as a Professor in English Literature. Later after doing LLB from Pt Ravishankar Shukla University and securing gold medal in it, he joined the profession of Legal Counsellor.
Inspired with Gandhian philosophy, Tiwari is also an author of several books on history and constitutional issues. The some of the books are Samvidhan Ka Sach, Samvidhan Ki Padtal, Gandhi and Panchayati Raj, Gandhi Ka Desh, Fir Se Hind Swaraj, Bastar: Lal Kranti Banam Green Hunt and Hind Swaraj Ka Sach.
Notably, earlier the Advocate General Jugal Kishor Gilda resigned from the post right after Bhupesh Baghel assumed the office of Chief Minister. Gilda, who hails from Nagpur in Maharashtra, served the post since 2014.
