It was the day to award the best exhibitors and innovators in the award ceremony of Indian Interior Designers (IIID) Bhopal Chapter Exhibition ‘Showcase-2018’ with pomp and show on Sunday.
Following the array of events for continuous two days, the competitions came to an end with awarding of the best displays, innovation, exhibitors, etc by the dignitaries. Chief Guest of the occasion was IIID Secretary Manish Kumat. He shared his valuable thoughts and appreciated the successful conduct of this remarkable exhibition.
The day started with a family art workshop on Ceramic Art ‘Hop Into Art’ by a ceramic artist Sonia Rashi and Suchika Rathore. A number of participants found the workshop interesting and showed their spirited participation. They chose to spend some time in creating, carving and moulding clay in various beautiful designs.
Not only the students of designing but also the children and other artistic people showed keen interest in the competition. Several different spectacular arts came out of the vibrant imagination of the participants under the guidance of Sonia Rashi and Suchika Rathore. The workshop was coordinated by Ravisha Thacker Merchant.
Thereafter, the award ceremony was held in which the best innovators and competition winners were awarded with trophies and certificates. In the Arushi Competition, Avni Shrivastava and Amal Pal from IPS Academy, Indore was awarded with first prize, Geetmaan Behra from MANIT bagged second prize and third prize was bagged by Lalit Pareta, Amisha Sharma and Kirti Vishwakarma from Virtual Voyage, Indore. On the Spot Competition based on the innovation winners were also awarded in the event.
In the space utilization Competition, the winners were Shubhangi Bagre, Anjali Tiwari from School of planning and Architecture Bhopal, Surya Prakash Singh Chouhan and Rohan from IPS Academy, Indore and Sandeep and Rishiraj from MANIT Bhopal bagged first, second and third prize respectively. Best Stall Design Exhibitors (Small) up to 200 Square Feet was bagged by Jitu Motwani for Plypark Durian, Sameer Chhabra for Krishna Timber, Hitesh Patel for Pragati Timber. While in the large category of 500 Square Feet, Mayur Marbles from Nagpur bagged first prize.
