Entrepreneur and professional dancer Arushi Nishank, who is also the daughter of MP and former Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ has been featured in the Forbes Middle East magazine for her achievements.
In the interview titled ‘Girl Power’ she talks about the experience of chairing the International Women Empowerment Programme (IWEP) in Dubai recently and her thoughts on Indian female empowerment. She also talks about how she uses dance and poetry to express herself and her own sense of empowerment. Arushi also talks about the various works she is involved in from Sparsh Ganga campaign to producing films that address social issues and elicit focus on Indian culture.
It should be mentioned here that she is a Kathak dancer who was a disciple of the noted Kathak dancer Pandit Birju Maharaj and has perfomed in more than 12 countries. Apart from film-making, Arushi has been active in activities aimed at social reforms and programmes for the upliftment and empowerment of women.
