Pure love: Antidote to all evils

In seeking justice, the real cause of injustice is often missed, says Rajyogi Brahmakumar Nikunj ji

If we ask, what is better, peace or warIJ Most people would choose peace. Yet most of these people are occasionally willing to go to war and are even more willing to engage in violent conflict, when the cause is something even more important than peace, which we commonly know as justice. Some political parties demand economic justice to be done to the poor labourers and the unemployed. Those who plead for the cause of a minority want the majority and the government to be just and fair to their folk. Women leaders says that women for millennia have been denied social justice and that the scales of justice between man and woman be now held equal. Similary certain sections of mankind across the world are agitating for political or religio-political justice. In short, every government, community and individual is expected to be just while universal love and justice are regarded as high traits of character.

A few political groups say that the labour class doesn’t get justice because the rich are interested in having cheap labour so as to have higher profits. They think the capitalist class will never willingly do justice because they intend to perpetuate their economic superiority. Therefore, their slogan is that the exploiters be expropriated by means of a violent revolution. In other words, they recommend violence for attaining justice. In a similar way, those who take up the cause of a minority think that discrimination on the basis of caste, ethnic origin, culture, racism or colour is the main cause of injustice being done to them. Hence, they resort to agitation, groupism, terrorism, riots and such other methods which further aggravate the situation. Women activists point out that women have been denied their due place in the society because they are physically weaker. They use agitation methods which, often, smell of hatred and vengeance and create unnecessary bitterness. However, leaders say that this kind of arm-twisting is necessary to wrench justice from male hands.

It is often said in seeking justice, the real cause of injustice is missed. It can be seen that injustice in any form is in fact due to body-consciousness of man, that is the male doing injustice to the female and the people of a community discriminating on the basis of colour or features or place of birth of the body. The narrow considerations of caste, community, cult and country, prejudice and hatred are always due to direct or indirect attachment to one’s body which in simple words is described as body-consciousness. But it is really strange that instead of eradicating body-consciousness and its concurrent evils like hatred, prejudice and so on, mankind expects justice and fairplay by agitating, committing violence, and thus increasing strife and enmity. It is high time that mankind realises that pure love which is all-encompassing is the need of hour to salvage oneself from all kinds of evils. love for god and spiritual love for all humankind is the only solution to end all strife.
