The benefit of 7th Pay Commission will be extended to all contractual employees under National Health Mission (NHM), Haryana.
Health Minister Anil Vij on Friday said the Government had approved the proposal of giving benefits of 7th Pay Commission to all contractual staff working under various departments, boards, Corporations.
“This benefit i.e. hike of 14.29 per cent will be extended to all contractual employees under NHM on similar pattern.
Around, 12500 number of contractual employees working with NHM will be benefitted by the decision, said he.
Vij said with the hike of 14.29 percent, the additional annual liability would be Rs 32.42 crore. This is for first time in the history of NHM that the State Government is giving rise of 14.29 percent from the state budget. The benefit of hike is in addition to the each year’s hike in salary, which is given by Union Government, added the Minister.
He said, “The employees of National Health Mission, Haryana are recruited on contractual basis on a fixed consolidated honorarium as approved by the Centre. As per the current guidelines under NHM, the contribution ratio of funds is 60:40 (GoI vs state).”
