Rajpur Road MlA and Parliamentary Secretary Rajkumar held a meeting on Monday with the administration of associated hospital of GDMC. The MlA, during the meeting, asked the hospital administration to ensure that the patients did not face any problem in the hospital.
He was informed by the hospital management that Chief Minister Harish Rawat had earlier ordered revoking the Hospital Management Committee (HMC) but stopped as the file was still pending with the State administration.
Prior to conversion of Doon Hospital to associated hospital of medical college, the HMC headed by District Magistrate (DM) used to take major policy decision on functioning of the hospital but it was dissolved when the hospital was merged with medical college.
In the meeting a suggestion was made to install biometric attendance system in the hospital so that all the doctors and other staff are punctual in their duties.
Rajkumar appreciated the suggestion and said he would take up the issue with top health department officials.
The meeting was attended by MS Dr KK Tamta, senior Physician Dr KC Pant, social worker Mohan Khatri, State president of association of lab technicians Rakesh Rawat and others.
