Monday, 29 August 2016 | PNS | Bhubaneswar

A special pre release grand screening of the first Odia Nero-Psych film Antarleena was held here.

The film is the maiden venture of Maskman Films and has been directed by Manas Sahoo, a young and talented first time director of films.

The theme is unique and the story revolves round the life of an autistic savant. The idea and inspiration for the story have come from the true life of an autistic boy  “Chinu “ (Gautam Panda), who is undertaking therapy in the Autism Therapy Centre run by Manage Autism Now (MAN) Trust.

Sambad Editor Soumya Ranjan Patnaik and Dr Ananga Dwibedi attended as guests on the occasion, besides the director of the film and trustee of Man Trust Madan Mohan Panda.

The 2.28 hr duration film is really unique in its nature, quite entertaining and has all the ingredients of a successful film being a touching presentation of the life of an autistic person (Chinu) who is otherwise highly talented, is the central character of the film.

“Antarleena “ is the autobiography of Chinu and it turns out to be very famous. It is the first Odia feature film on autism.
