The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has caught a railway station master stealing kerosene from the generator of the railway station.

An RPF constable caught the station master red-handed at Ajanti railway station which comes under the Western Railway Zone when he was carrying the kerosene in plastic cane. The incident took place at Ajanti railway station which is near Khandwa railway station. Rakesh Jain is the station master of Ajanti railway station. His duty hours are from 8 am to 8 pm. During duty hours he was going home on bike carrying a plastic cane.

The RPF constable, Mahesh Sharma, stopped the bike and enquired about the cane. When the cane was checked 30 litres of kerosene was recovered from it. The station master did not give any proper answer about the kerosene. The constable immediately informed the RPF station in-charge Mhow, Pradeep Jadon. Jadon sent a few more constables to the site and ordered to bring Jain to Mhow railway police station.

The RPF interrogated Jain all night long. Jain confessed that he has stolen 30 litres of kerosene from the available 130 litres of kerosene which was for railway station generator. Jain told the RPF that he was taking the kerosene for some religious function. The RPF has registered a case against the station master for theft of railway property. After the interrogation the RPF produced the station master in Mhow court. The court has sent the accused station master Jain in 14 days judicial remand.
