MCTE bags Unit Citation Award

Bhopal: On behalf of MCTE, lt Gen Rajesh Pant, AVSM, VSM, Commandant, Military College of Telecommunication Engineering, Mhow received the Unit Citation Award from lt Gen Sanjeev Madhok, AVSM, VSM, GOC-in-C ARTRAC in an Investiture Ceremony conducted with full military grandeur on Saturday at the Iyappa Hall of Military College of Telecommunication Engineering. The citation was awarded in recognition of the exceptional and meritorious contribution of the College towards training within the mandate entrusted to it. It is also recognition of the culture of innovative zeal, futuristic vision and planning, ability to implement new training policies and development of the institute as a Centre of Excellence in the field of cyber security and electronic warfare. The GOC-in-C ARTRAC unit citation was also awarded to Army War College, Armoured Corps Centre & School and High Altitude Warfare School .All four establishments  were represented by a team of their Commandant, Subedar Major and the junior most soldier to receive the award. GOC-in-C ARTRAC interacted with the award winners and the other attendees after the event.

 

revenue officals survey crop damage

Gwalior: The revenue officials of the division are busy in survey of crops damaged by hailstorms and untimely rain. On the orders of collector P Narhari, the revenue staff reached villages and started survey. According to initial estimate, crops of newly 20 villages have been damaged. He ordered that the survey should be conducted minutely so that no victim farmer should be left. He has demanded survey report so that the relief could be distributed to the effected farmers soon. Under the command of sub divisional officers Anurag Saxena, Vidisha Mukherjee and Tehsildar DD Sharma have conducted primary survey of the crop. Saxena and Mukherjee said that Girgaon, Benhata, Guthina, Dang Guthina, Sihol, Kheria Kreshar, laxmangarh, Kulainth, Kaitha, Malanpur, Saujana, Rudrapur, Jalalpur, Mau, Jamahar, and Maiyapura village have been partially affected due to hailstorms and heavy rains.

 

782 to be treated in Urology check-up camp

Bhopal: Around 782 patients would be treated at the 72nd free Urology check up camp, being organised by Sewa Sadan Eye hospital; the camp is in process from February 24 to March 4. On the second day, around 73 operations were successfully conducted. Member of Parliament Kailash Joshi and Member of legislative Assembly from Huzoor constituency Rameshwar Sharma visited the camp and discussed with the doctors and patients. During the camp, around 607 patients were diagnosed and provided with medicines. Around 175 patients have been admitted who would be operated till March 4.

 

Wheat procurement from march 25

Bhopal: Wheat procurement on support price during Rabi marketing year 2014-15 will begin simultaneously in all divisions from March 25. Procurement will continue upto May 26. Food and Civil Supplies Department has issued orders to this effect. Earlier, wheat procurement was scheduled to start from March 18 in the State. In view of recent rain and hailstorm, it has been decided to start procurement simultaneously in all divisions from March 25. As many as 3,000 centres have been set up for procurement of wheat on support price. State Government has appointed Madhya Pradesh State Civil Supplies Corporation as nodal agency for this. The corporation has estimated that 100 lakh MT wheat will be procured this year. So far, 17 lakh 50 thousand farmers have been registered for procurement of wheat on support price.
