The 25th death anniversary of Raja Sarat Kumar Deb was organised by the Sarat Kumar Deb Smruti Committee here on Monday. Deb was elected to the State Assembly and the lok Sabha.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Damodar Rout, Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Pratap Keshari Deb, Kendrapada MP Baijayant Panda, Kendrapada ZP president Sridhar Swain, Ali Panchayat Samiti chairperson Rashmita Mohanty and Rajkanika PS chairman Kapilendra Mallick, attended the meeting recalling his contribution towards development of the people of Ali and Odisha.
A felicitation ceremony was held on the occasion. Social worker Bhaskar Chandra Samal, Dr Prahallad Chandra Das, journalist Prabhata Kumar Dikshit along with Prativa Dash, Pratyusha Kumar Dikshit and Pranab Kumar Panda, who achieved outstanding results in this year’s matriculation examinations, were honoured.
While the meeting was presided over by president of the committee Ratnakar Mishra, Jagadananda Bal presented the annual report of the committee.
