Welfare Minister Chamra Linda conducted a surprise inspection of the Government Backward Caste +2 Residential Girls High School located at Jail More in the capital Ranchi on Wednesday. On this occasion, he closely observed the educational activities going on in the school, attendance of students, food, residential facilities, library, and security arrangements.
During the inspection, Linda directly interacted with the school management committee and students and made them aware of various educational and welfare schemes of the Jharkhand government. He said that all of you have to study well, become doctors, engineers. Now there will be no thinking that girls will just get married and go to someone else's house. Today women are standing at par with men in every field.
On this occasion, the minister also inspected the newly constructed girls' hostel building in the school premises. He reviewed the quality and progress of the construction work and directed the officials to provide safe, convenient and modern residential facilities to the girl students soon.
The minister said that the Jharkhand government is committed to fulfilling every educational need of the girl students - such as books, dress, hostel, scholarship and career guidance. But he also clarified that the purpose of the facilities being provided by the government is that the girl students perform better and bring glory to their home, society and state.
The state government is constantly trying to make the backward classes of the society, especially the girl students, self-reliant and empowered through education. This surprise inspection is an important step in that direction, so that the ground impact of the government's schemes can be assessed. He said that education is the only medium through which social equality and inclusive development is possible. In the coming time, the number and quality of such schools and hostels will be further improved.
