Crime Branch Bhopal arrested two persons including a woman carrying 13.19 kg Cannabis worth over Rs 2.7 lakh, police have started investigation of source and network involved in supply and disposal of the illegal drug trade.
A case under section 8 and 20 of NDPS Act was registered and further investigation was started.
After receiving information police station Incharge Crime Branch Ashok Maravi and his team swung into action to search for illegal drug smugglers in the city.
In the first arrest information was received that at the closed petrol pump near Subhash Nagar bridge, MP Nagar Bhopal, a girl of about 18-20 years of age is wearing a red colour salwar suit and carrying a blue colour bag which contains Cannabis and is waiting for a customer to sell the Cannabis.
The crime branch team reached the closed petrol pump, MP Nagar Bhopal, near Subhash Nagar bridge. With the help of the accompanying staff, the girl of the above mentioned appearance was spotted and taken into custody.
