The issue of Sirmatoli Sarna Sthal movement and recognition of polytechnic colleges was raised by BJP members in the House today. The Budget ession of Jharkhand Assembly resumed today after Holi vacation. Raising the issue under the information, BJP MLA CP Singh mentioned the movement going on regarding Sirmatoli Sarna Sthal. He said that the movement is being held in view of the impact on the Sarhul procession due to the ramp of the flyover. Since the CM himself is present in the House, he should resolve this matter so that people can celebrate the festival of Sarhul happily.
On this, CM Hemant Soren said that he has received information about the whole subject through different social organizations. All the organizations have been assured that they do not need to worry. Sarhul will be celebrated and will be celebrated with great pomp. The protest against construction of a ramp at Siramtoli flyover is going on with tribal groups apprehending that the place of worship (Sirmtoli Sarna Sthal) will be affected due to the ramp of Sirmatoli-Mecon flyover near the Sarna Sthal. On Monday, effigies of the CM and MLAs were burnt under the banner of Kendriya Sarna Sthal Siromatoli Bachao Morcha.
