Govt doing empty rhetoric & events to hide its failures and lies, alleges Hooda
Chandigarh: Former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Thursday alleged that the BJP first made the Governor tell lies in his address, and now while speaking on the Governor’s, the government itself is telling lies after lies. To hide one lie, the BJP government is having to tell lies one after the other, the former Chief Minister said. Hooda further alleged that BJP has failed on every front including providing employment, controlling inflation, curbing crime, preventing drug abuse, curbing corruption and bringing about development. “Now this government has only events and empty rhetoric left to hide its failures and divert attention from them,” he said. Hooda said that the BJP has not been able to give a proper answer to any question of the opposition MLAs till now during the assembly session. He said Congress MLAs exposed all the claims made in the speech with facts. “The opposition is not needed to show the mirror to this government. If BJP looks at its own manifestos of 2014, 2019 and 2024, it will realize how it has betrayed the public. Not only this, if BJP reads all the data of the Central Government from NSSO, SPI and NCRB, it will itself know where it stands,” he said. “If we talk about HSSC recruitments, the court has repeatedly reprimanded the government regarding the recruitment of Group-C and has ordered to revise the result. In the recruitment of Group-D, there are about one thousand employees who have not been paid salary for many months as the government has not been able to get their verification done till now, while they are continuously being made to work in the government office,” he added.
