The government is keeping a lot of expectations from this tour proposed from 19 to 27 April. However, the Chief Minister's visit will be possible only after getting the green signal from the Ministry of External Affairs. Amidst all this, politics continues on the foreign tour of top government officials.
While the opposition has intensified its attack after the cabinet's approval to the foreign tour, the ruling party JMM has called it a historic step of the government. Responding to the questions of media persons, JMM General Secretary Vinod Pandey has said that the government is constantly trying to fulfil the aspirations of the people. Under this, the Chief Minister himself went to West Bengal recently to attract investors, now the program of foreign tour has been decided, definitely foreign investors will come here impressed by the thinking of the government. It is noteworthy that those who went on foreign tour include 20 officers from various departments of the state government including the Chief Secretary.
The main opposition party Bharatiya Janata Party has criticized the Chief Minister's initiative to invite foreign investors to promote investment in the state. BJP says that first create an industrial environment in the state, then invite investors. Rajya Sabha MP Pradeep Verma has taunted that the government should first fix the law and order, so that industries can be set up here.
He said that the way questions are being raised about law and order in recent years and there is an atmosphere of fear among the people, how will industrialists set up industries in the state. The State cabinet this week gave its nod for the proposed Spain and Sweden visit led by the Chief Minister from April 19 and the expenditure related to it. Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren will visit three countries. Apart from his wife Kalpana Soren, a team of eight people will accompany him which would include urban development and housing minister Sudivya Kumar Sonu, chief secretary Alka Tiwari, additional chief secretary to the CM Avinash Kumar, industry secretary Arwa Rajkamal, industry director Sushant Gaurav among others.
