Bringing pride to the city once again, renowned yoga exponent Yogapurush Anshu Sarkar has been honoured with the prestigious Bhartiya Ekta Samman 2025 at a national ceremony held in Kashmir—fondly known as ‘heaven on earth’. His tireless dedication to the field of yoga and his mission to promote health and wellness through this ancient practice earned him recognition at a grand event held at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar.
The award ceremony, organized on April 6 by the Naturo Alternative Medical Research Science Federation to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, was supported by the World Book of Star Records and Zenith Book of World Records. Sarkar received a trophy, medal, citation, and shawl as a token of honor.
The chief guest of the event, Dr. Darakshan Andrabi, Chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board, presented the award to Sarkar. Other distinguished guests included Mahamandaleshwar Swami Paramatmanandaji Maharaj from Kolkata, Dr. Loknath Nath, Dr. Rajiv Pal, and Santshree Bhattacharya, Brand Ambassador of the World Book of Star Records from Surat.
City-based yoga organizations have extended their heartfelt congratulations to Sarkar and announced plans to host a grand felicitation ceremony in his honor upon his return. His recognition at a national platform in Kashmir not only adds to his long list of achievements but also reinforces Jamshedpur’s growing reputation in the world of yoga and wellness.
