The Dharohar programme was organized in Namkum, Ranchi with the thought of honouring heritage, celebrating the present and inspiring the future. The purpose of this programme was to honor the artists of Jharkhand as well as to worry about their bright future. Artists who have gained fame in the field of art including song, music, dance, cinema were honoured on this occasion.
Jharkhand Congress in-charge K Raju, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperative Minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey, Congress State President Keshav Mahato Kamlesh, Executive President Bandhu Tirkey and other leaders participated as special guests and chief speakers in the Dharohar program.
On this occasion, the problems of the artists of Jharkhand were discussed through panel discussion. The artists of Jharkhand also submitted a memorandum to the Congress in-charge.
Addressing the Dharohar program, Minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey said that away from modernity, today there is a need to adopt traditional dance, music and art culture. Everything pales in front of the tune of Jharkhand's musical instruments. Artists have played a big role in the creation of Jharkhand. Artists have kept the culture of Jharkhand alive. She said that if the demands raised by the artists through panel discussion are resolved, then artists will benefit. For this, the government will have to formulate better policies.
Tirkey said that today media, film and art are being used as political tools. Some people with Manuvadi thinking are conspiring to end the diversity of languages. No one language can be imposed.
Jharkhand Congress in-charge K Raju said that artists played an important role in the formation of Telangana state. The message of formation of a separate state reached the central government through artists. The Telangana government has made many types of policies for artists. From pension to scholarship schemes for artists, everything has been started. A policy will have to be made for the artists of Jharkhand. An academy will have to be formed.
Congress state president Keshav Mahato Kamlesh said that language, culture, literature and art have a separate place. Congress has earlier also talked about forming a separate academy in the state. Efforts will be made in this regard.
Congress working president Bandhu Tirkey said that the artists of Jharkhand have to face financial problems. Something has to be done to support artists from Azad Ansari to others.
Young artists can be given opportunities by the government in the field of art. Artists have also played a big role in protecting the constitution.
