When Bharat Ratna LK Advani, the former deputy Prime Minister, was requested by Chennai based Center for Policy Studies in 2003 to write the foreword for the pathbreaking volume Religious Demography of India, he quoted Augustus Comte, the French philosopher and sociologist who had said that Demography is Destiny. Advani, while explaining the theory of Comte, said that growth and decline of populations and changes in the relative balance between various groups in a population play a crucial role in the rise and fall of nations and even civilizations. “That’s why active and alert societies, especially of the modern times, keep a keen eye on the changing demographic trends within themselves as well as everywhere else in the world,” Advani wrote in his foreword.
The former statesman, once rated as the natural successor to Atal Bihari Vajpayee as Prime Minister, is known for his sharp observations and erudition. He was speaking from hands-on experience as well as world history. India, once a 100 per cent Hindu nation, was plundered, looted and subjected to some of the worst genocides by Islamic and European invaders. The last three to four centuries saw the Hindu population coming down in India even as the share of Muslim and Christian populations making giant strides. Despite their best efforts, the Islamist invaders and Christian colonizers could convert hardly 30 per cent of the native population to their religions and beliefs. Though India is a free democracy, efforts by the agents of Abrahamic religions are still on to “cleanse” the country of Sanatana Dharma, a way of life which has sustained the sub-continent till now. The turmoil in North-East and Kashmir, are proof of the on going efforts by the proselytizers to balkanize India and they are abeted and aided by the extreme left wing radicals (Maoists). Besides armaments and persuasions, these religions resort to all kinds of measures to plant crosses and build mosques across the country.
Strangely enough, these anti-national elements are portrayed as angels by the left-leaning and secular intellectuals and media for whom everything against India is a hot commodity. There is no need to elaborate about the international consortium of seminar-cocktail network, the agenda of which is nothing other than spreading canards against India throughout the world. Their one and only mission is to dismantle India.
A massive operation is underway across India by the cabal of secular-liberal intellectuals employing all methods for dismantling India. It is in this context I came across the term Wokeism. For a person spending the sunset years in a rural area in Kerala’s Perumbavoor, Wokeism was an alien term and it was through “Snakes in the Ganga”, a pathbreaking book authored by US based Indologist Rajiv Malhotra and Vijaya Viswanathan I heard more about this phenomenon. Prof R Vaidyanathan, former professor of finance, IIM, Bangalore had been cautioning the people of the country through his speeches and writings about the mission to dismantle India since a long time, Prof Vaidyanathan in his foreword to Snakes in the Ganga gave an idea about Critical Race Theory (another name for Wokeism) and this has been elaborated with facts by Rajiv Malhotra in the book.
The Communists, the Jihadis and the Maoists/ Extreme Left Wing ideologists had tried to destroy democracy as it is practiced in India. They do not like to see a progressed India and are obsessed with creating anarchy throughout the sub- continent. If the initial phase of post-independent India was influenced by the Lefts as well as evangelists, new forces joined the mission to speed up the process of demolishing the concept of India. The art and literary world was usurped by Communist agents and evangelists. The influence wielded by them despite the change of government at the Centre in 2014 is unbelievable. The Sahitya Academy awards are given to the trumpet blowers of the Lefts as well as the proselytizers. The Sahitya Academy organizational structure can never be touched by the present day Government and only writers sponsored by the CPI(M) walk away with the annual honors, The Academy awards are reserved for those who abuse the Sanatan Dharma as well as the age-old Indian knowledge system. Isnt it surprising to note that the likes of Perumal Murugan, Hareesh, Bennyamin and K P Ramanunni walk away with the Academy awards though their works do not come anywhere near the classical works of the pre-independence days.
In earlier days, we saw countries getting disappeared from the face of the earth and new nations coming into existence once they are occupied by colonialists. The military alone decided the fate of the occupied land. Now, physical might of the occupiers are supplemented by the demolition of the occupied area’s heritage, history, tradition and civilization. Once you wipe out the history of the annexed land and indoctrinate the inhabitants that they are an uncivilized and uncouth lot of illiterates, the occupied forces could drive the last nail on its coffin. Scholars like Rajiv Malhotra and Vaidyanathan exhort the population of India to be warry of the efforts by forces inimical to India through their writings and speeches.
The soldiers guarding the borders of the nation are doing their job with dedication and devotion. But they are helpless in guarding the time-tested culture, heritage and tradition of the great country. The modus operandi employed by anti-India forces are myriad and innovative. Universities in USA and Europe have devised strategies to subvert the great Indian culture. The easiest way to make us look like fools is by vanquishing the superiority enjoyed by India in arts, culture and heritage. Wendy Doniger, a US based historian wrote “Hindus-An Alternative History” belittling everything India. Dinanath Batra, based in Gujarat, sought documentary proof for the claims made by Doniger. The publisher chose the easy way out by withdrawing the book from the market lest they knew they would be slapped with charges under the Indian Penal Code. Though this happened in 2011, Doniger’s comrades blame the Modi Government and RSS for the withdrawal of the book.
These are all part of Wokeism and readers get a panoramic view of the reality from the two books Snakes In The Ganga and Woke Inc(authored by Vivek Ramaswamy). While India was always the target pf attack by forces which have Harvard University as epicenter, Woke Inc is the first of its kind book on what is happening in corporate and academic USA. Yes, US is a target of the Dismantling US forces. Vivek Ramaswamy, who authored this book before he made it known that he would be running for the 2024 Presidential race, has done a stunning work by articulating the happenings in the USA and that too with examples. Himself a member if the Corporate USA, Ramaswamy was taken aback by the greed and evil designs of a cartel of forces which want to subjugate the US.
Indians who are worried about the future of India should understand the style of operation of the anti-India forces. Though the British had launched the mission to bury India once and for ever much earlier, it reached its zenith in March 1945 with the appointment of Louis Mountbatten as the last viceroy of undivided India. His credentials? In his previous avatar, he had “successfully” vivisected Indonesia and handed over the same to Portugal and Netherlands. He also demolished the War Memorial of Indian National Army at Singapore with the intention of liquidating the memories of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose from the face of the earth. The time has come for nationalists to be aware of these happenings. It is really sad that our cultural icons are either ignorant or keep quiet about these details. In an interaction with Tapasya, a socio cultural organization launched by RSS leader M A Krishnan, I asked the delegates (all office bearers of the outfit) whether they are aware of the book “Me, A Bharateeya” authored by K K Mohammed, the archaeologist who was a member of the team that discovered the existence of Lord Rama Temple at Ayodhya. None of them was aware of the existence of such a book. These are the guardians of our culture!!
