Three Naxalites surrender in Sukma

Three Maoists, one of them carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh on his head, surrendered on Tuesday to security forces in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh.

Sodhi Lakhma (35), Podiyam Pojja (37) and Podiyam Bhima (55) turned themselves in, citing disappointment with the Maoist ideology, Sukma Superintendent of Police Kiran Chavan said.

Lakhma, who carried a bounty of Rs 1 lakh, was the Nagaram Revolutionary People’s Council Militia/Section Commander of the outlawed Maoist organization.
