In response to the scorching heatwave, significant changes have been made to school timings. Effective immediately, all classes from KG to 8 will be conducted from 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Similarly, classes from 9 and above will be held from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav, has directed the District Education Officer (DEO) and District Education Superintendent(DSE) to ensure compliance with these orders across all schools.
In consideration of the intense heat and to safeguard students, these revised timings will remain in effect until further notice starting Monday, April 22, 2024. Furthermore, it has been emphasized that outdoor activities, including prayer assemblies and sports, will be suspended during this period. However, midday meals will continue as usual.
DC Jadhav, emphasized that these changes were implemented following directives from the Department of School Education and Literacy. Officials have been instructed to take necessary measures to mitigate any adverse effects on students' education during this period.
