Under Operation NARCOS, the Flying team of Railway Protection Force (RPF) arrested six drug smugglers from Hatia Railway Station on Wednesday.
As per the information issued by RPF Post Hatia, Flying Team Ranchi and Government Railway Police (GRP) Hatia this success has been achieved by the officers and employees of RPF Post Hatia, Flying Team Ranchi and GRP, Hatia. Their joint team was engaged in checking at Hatia railway station. During checking, the team found six persons in suspicious condition. They had four trolley bags and one big bag.
On the basis of suspicion they were detained at Hatia station. After examining the bags, 32 packets found in them were tested with DD kit. Apart from this, 32 packets of marijuana were found. Its weight is 32.00 kg and estimated price is Rs 16 lakh. They could not present any legal authority in this regard.
Names of smugglers arrested by the team are Dular Chandra Ram, age- 40 years, resident- Nasriganj, Rohtas, Bablu Kumar Yadav, age- 23 years, resident- Mandu, Ramgarh, Nikhil Kumar Yadav, age- 19 years, resident- Hathmara, Mandu. Ramgarh, Hemant Mitra, age- 18 years, resident- Baraich Nagar, Ramgarh, Bineet Kumar, age- 21, resident- Sandi, Ramgarh, Iqbal Khan, age- 53 years, resident- Prayag Vihar, West Delhi.
The arrested criminals said that they reached Rourkela on 04.05.2024 and Iqbal Khan provided them with ganja. It was to be brought from Rourkela to Kanpur and sold. After completing all the legal formalities, all the arrested accused along with the seized material have been handed over to GRP Hatia.
