Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan said that as per the election schedule of Lok Sabha Elections-2024, the process of filing nomination papers for the first phase was completed on Wednesday. On March 27, 64 candidates filed 89 nomination papers. Since the release of the notification, till March 27, a total of 153 nomination papers have been filed by 113 candidates.
Rajan has informed that till March 27, 30 nomination papers were filed by 22 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 11 Sidhi, 14 nomination papers were filed by 10 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 12 Shahdol (ST), 33 nomination papers by 22 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 13 Jabalpur, 18 nomination papers by 16 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 14 Mandla (ST), 27 nomination papers have been filed by 19 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 15 Balaghat, and 31 nomination papers have been filed by 24 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 16 Chhindwara.
